In August 2007, T.W. Lewis associates provided backpacks and school supplies in support of 75 children at Aid for Adoption of Special Kids (AASK).

Homeward Bound

Homeward Bound assists homeless and domestic violence families with children achieve economic independence, secure long-term, safe, decent, affordable housing and break multi-generational cycles of homelessness and domestic violence.

Since its inception in 1990, thousands of children and their families have graduated from the Homeward Bound program and have become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. The effectiveness of Homeward Bound is measured by each family's transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency in 12-24 months.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation made a donation to Desert Botanical Garden's "Tending the Garden" campaign in support of the Garden's vision to become the premier center in the world for display, study and understanding of desert plants and their environments. The donation is part of a five-year commitment the T.W. Lewis Foundation has made to Desert Botanical Garden.

The Foundation made a contribution to Valley of the Sun United Way, as part of the Tocqueville Society. The Valley of the Sun United Way is focused on improving lives and delivering results in three critical areas: Learning, Empowering and Caring.

The Foundation made a donation as part of its 5-year pledge to Banner Health Foundation in support of Banner Children's Hospital’s “Through the Eyes of a Child” Building Campaign.

We made a donation to UMOM New Day Centers, in support of their building campaign. UMOM's mission is to provide homeless and low-income families with food, shelter and tools to build a bridge to self-sufficiency.

We made a donation to the Sigma Chi Foundation which serves as an educational funding resource for the undergraduate and graduate student members of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

We provided scholarship funds for ANASAZI Foundation’s 2004 Youth Leadership Challenge to enable young men and women aged 12-17 years old to attend a six-day outdoor course to learn principles of leadership. This is part of a five-year commitment we have made to ANASAZI.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation made a donation to the University of Kentucky to support the endowment for the Thomas W. and Janet R. Lewis Scholarship.

T.W. Lewis Foundation made a monetary contribution to Child Crisis Center of the East Valley's Capital Building Campaign. Child Crisis Center helps Phoenix’s most neglected and at-risk kids and has helped over 10,500 children since 1981.

The Foundation made a monetary donation to the Epilepsy Foundation of Arizona in support of their Camp Candlelight for children.

The Foundation made a monetary donation to the Tempe Blue Devils Youth Football Club. The mission of the Club is to emphasize the importance of keeping a proper relationship and balance between scholastic and athletic endeavors.

T.W. Lewis Foundation contributed to the Lou Grubb Friends Fore Golf Tournament and fundraising dinner held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort in support of the Barrow Neurological Institute. The annual tournament celebrated its 35th year of advancing healthcare causes in Arizona.

The Foundation renewed its ongoing support of Desert Botanical Gardens as part of the Patron's Circle membership drive.

We were a sponsor of the 13th annual "Celebrity Waiters in Suits" fundraising dinner which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation was an underwriter for the Desert Botanical Gardens' annual "Dinner on the Desert" fundraising event.

The Foundation renewed its support of the Heard Museum by renewing its membership in the "Circles of Giving" campaign.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation made monetary donations to the Salvation Army and Susan G Komen Foundation.

The Foundation made a donation to Phoenix Children's Hospital in memory of Ben Brooks. The Phoenix Children's Hospital is Arizona's leader in pediatric care and one of the 10 largest free-standing children's hospitals in the nation.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation made a donation to the Tempe Community Foundation’s “Guiding Light” campaign to address issues of homelessness, domestic violence, disability concerns, services for youths and seniors, family, and programs providing basic needs to those in the local community.

We also made a donation to the Tempe Community Council’s Communities In Schools (CIS) program which supports services at fifteen CIS partner schools. These services include backpacks and school supplies for children in need, parent education and support at one of nine family resource centers, mental health services for high school students on their campuses, early literacy programs to help low income students prepare for school, and other programs.

The Foundation made a donation to the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in support of the Thomas W. and Janet R. Lewis Distinguished Professorship Fund.
